Australia’s most prestigious portraiture prize, the Archibald Prize, today announced the finalists for this year’s competition. The prize is worth $75,000 and is awarded for ‘the best portrait, preferentially of some man or woman distinguished in Art, Letters, Science or Politics, painted by an artist resident in Australasia’.
